General Issues and How to fix guide for notification alerts:
(Applicable for both iOS and Android Devices)


Fix 1: Check your network connection

Remember you should be connected to a stable connection to be able to get BridgED Parent App notifications. Unless your phone is connected to a permanent network connection, you won’t be able to receive any instant notifications from BridgED Parent App.


Fix 2: check if “do not disturb” is on

Do Not Disturb or DND is actually one of the best features on iOS. If it is enabled on your phone, you won’t be able to receive any calls and notifications. If you notice see a moon icon at the top of your screen, then that means that DND is enabled. To turn this off:

  1. go to your Settings
    1. tap on Do Not Disturb and hit the off button next to it.

Fix 3: See if your phone is in silent mode

If you did turn your phone into silent mode, then there is an excellent chance that you won’t receive any notifications on your device. So, all you need to do is to toggle the silent switch to get out in Silent Mode.


Fix 4: Update the BridgED Parent's application

There might be a bug in BridgED Parent App's old versions, so you should update the app on the “App Store” for IOS users and “Play Store” for Android users.


Fix 5: If all the above fails, reinstall your BridgED Parent App from the App Store for IOS users and Play Store for Android Users.

For Android only:
Fix 1: If you have enabled Push Notifications on both your Android and BridgED Parent App settings but still cannot receive push notifications for your BridgED Parent App account, check the following to ensure that your phone settings are not blocking push notifications from being received promptly:
  1. Go to your settings and ensure that Priority Mode is disabled or that BridgED Parent App is enabled on Priority Mode
    1. Ensure that Restrict Background Data is unchecked for BridgED Parent App and Google Services
    2. Check that notifications apps such as Clean Master is deactivated for BridgED Parent App
Fix 2: If notifications are still not received on your device, perform the following to restore your Push Notifications token:
  1. Open BridgED Parent App and log out of your current session
    1. Relogin to your BridgED Parent App account
    2. Force-quit the BridgED Parent App by going to your Settings > Applications Manager > Force Stop/Quit (Or similar steps)
    3. Relaunch the BridgED Parent App 


For iOS only:


Fix 1: If you have enabled Push Notifications on both your iOS and BridgED Parent App settings but still cannot receive push notifications for your BridgED Parent App account, this may be resolved by refreshing your Push Notifications token. Do this by performing the steps below, while BridgED Parent App is running in the background:
  1. Open iOS settings
  2. Select Notifications
  3. Locate the BridgED Parent App on the menu and select it
  4. Set "Allow Notifications" to active
  5. Set "Sounds" and "Show in Notification Centre" to active

Fix 2: If you have logged in to different BridgED Parent App accounts on the same iOS device, restore push notifications by performing the steps outlined below:
  1. Log out of your current session
  2. Relogin to your account
  3. Kill the BridgED Parent App by double-tapping the home button and sliding the BridgED Parent App upwards
  4. Relaunch the BridgED Parent app
